The 14th of July is officially the annual Duuzra Day of Service.

The employees from our offices collectively donated one day to a chosen charity/organization in their local community.

Volunteers are the most important resource for community organisations. The ability for people to work willingly together for the betterment of the community represents selflessness and generosity in its purest form.

The Manchester, UK team chose Mustard Tree as their charity of choice. Mustard Tree has transformed the lives of people in Greater Manchester who are trapped in poverty or homelessness, by enabling them to gain the skills and self-confidence they need to reach their full potential since 1994.

Hear what the Manchester Duuzrans had to say:

“Had a very enjoyable day at The Mustard Tree. The staff and clients were exceptionally friendly and I enjoyed selling the furniture in the shop. One of my customers spent £200, which was so good and I felt that we had genuinely made a difference during our day at the charity. Will definitely be offering my time again as a volunteer in the very near future”.
Jane Jelly, Business Development Manager

“It was a great feeling helping out and making a difference. Some of the volunteers were people the charity had helped before and seeing how well they were doing now was really great!”

Aniq Ahmad, Technical Coordinator

The Salt Lake City, Utah team decided to dedicate the day to helping out at  The Ronald McDonald House in Utah.
The Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room provides a temporary home-away-from-home that serves and sustains families of children receiving treatment at the area hospitals. Seriously ill or injured children cope better when surrounded by loved ones. Their mission is made possible through the help of partners-in-care, McDonald’s, and donations and gifts from generous individuals, corporations, organizations, and foundations. The Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City continues to open welcoming doors to families in need by keeping families close so that together they can rest and regroup, hope and heal and laugh and love.

Hear what the Utah Duuzrans had to say:

“While growing our business is important making sure to give back to the community is as well. It was great being able to get out into the community and see our team working to deliver a great experience to those that are less fortunate. It was not only great to share that experience together as a team, but also with those we were serving. I very much look forward to doing this for the community again!”
Mateo Muñoz, Managing Director Americas

“Giving back without expecting anything in return is the greatest investment there is. I am happy that Duuzra gave me the opportunity to provide the families at The Ronald McDonald House a home-cooked meal. It really gave me perspective on life and I am looking forward to giving back again with my Duuzra family.”
Jonathan Basler, Business Development Executive

“It was such a wonderful experience to be able to provide the families at The Ronald McDonald House a home-cooked meal”.
